On March 06, 2018, Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of The Republic of Korea to the Republic of Azerbaijan Kim Chang-gyu.

The Chairman of the Supreme Assembly welcomed the guest and spoke about the role of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in the development of relations between Azerbaijan and the Republic of Korea, highlighting the establishment of effective cooperation especially in the field of education. Speaking about Korean language being taught at Nakhchivan State University and Korean students studying there, the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly stated that all of these achievements contributes to the development of cultural ties. Speaking about the establishment of a distance learning center at Nakhchivan State University thanks to new technologies installed by “KOICA”, the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly stressed the importance of cooperation,

The Chairman of the Supreme Assembly congratulated the ambassador on the occasion of successful conduct of the Winter Olympic Games and assessed it as a manifestation of the development of the Republic of Korea.

Speaking about relations between our countries. Kim Chang-gyu expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and said he felt like in his homeland. The Ambassador noted that his visit to the autonomous republic serves the purpose of considering existing cooperation opportunities, adding they are interested in developing relations in various fields.
