On November 14, 2017, the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov met with the Romanian ambassador to Azerbaijan Dan Ianku.

The Chairman of the Supreme Assembly congratulated Dan İanku on his new appointment as ambassador to Azerbaijan and wished him success in the development of the Azerbaijani-Romanian relations and the strengthening of diplomatic relations. Speaking about the relations between two countries, the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly noted the development directions of cooperation between the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Romania and stressed that there are opportunities for the establishment of relations in the field of economy and education.

Expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome, Dan Ianku gave his satisfaction with his visit to the autonomous republic during the celebrations of the Day of State Flag, stressing that Nakhchivan had ancient history and rich culture and modern development potential, he noted would continue to make efforts to establish relations with the autonomous republic in various fields.
