On 9 April 2019, Mr. Vasif Talibov, Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic met with Mr. Husnan Bey Fananie, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Chairman of the Supreme Assembly expressed his satisfaction with the next visit of the guest to the autonomous republic and thanked for the participation of the Indonesian delegation in "Nakhchivan-Capital of Islamic Culture 2018" events last year.

Mr. Chairman stressed the importance of the reciprocal visits of the delegations in terms of the strengthening of the cooperation and stated the Azerbaijani-Indonesian relations are developing in a rising direction and economic and trade relations are expanding.

Chairman of the Supreme Assembly made remarks on the role of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in bilateral relations between the two countries, stressing that existing opportunities created the basis for the development of education and tourism.

Thanking for the warm hospitality, Mr. Husnan Bey Fananie extended his pleasure for being in the autonomous republic, attaching importance to the development of relations with the autonomous republic and expressed readiness for cooperation.
